The pandemia of the novel coronavirus (SARS CoV-2) is today the challenge for every doctor. This virus causing the COVID disease is rapidly becoming one of the most challenging public health crises in modern history. With over 2 million cases confirmed worldwide, including almost 25-30’000 cases in Switzerland, this virus is spreading rapidly and leads to severe diseases, in particular ARDS in a number of patients.
However, patients with underlying health conditions, including cardiovascular disease, diabetes, pulmonary disorders and cancer seem to be the most vulnerable to developing more severe illnesses.
The objective of this workshop is to shed some light on topics how this new disease specifically affects cancer care, and what do clinicians need to know today to ensure they are providing the best care to their patients with cancer.
Therefore, SAMO welcomes you to our Virtual Workshop on May 7, 2020 chaired by Prof. Oliver Gautschi and PD Dr. Aurelius Omlin. The agenda is highly interesting and beyond doubt will enlarge our understanding how to care patients with cancer in this difficult time. Have a great workshop!
